What is Osteopathy?

Osteopathy is a method of detecting and treating injured parts of the body, such as muscles, ligaments, tendons, nerves and joints.

Osteopaths use their hands and a highly developed sense of touch to detect and correct problem areas of the body. Using gentle stretching and mobilizing techniques as well as manipulating joints, an osteopath improves joint function and the condition of injured tissues to create an environment where the body has a real chance to heal.

When the body is working efficiently it functions with the minimum of wear and tear and leaves more energy for living and self-repair.

What is Cranial Osteopathy?

Cranial Osteopathy is another form of treatment that uses very gentle pressure on the body to release unresolved strains in the musculo-skeletal system. It can be particularly effective when treating babies, children and in pregnancy. It is not limited to treatment of the head and can be useful for gentle release throughout the body.
